Crochet Hairband - crocheting on a plastic or steel hairband

Hello All,

Hope you guys are doing great. All the best to all 10th and 12th students writing exams this year. As usual, jumping straight into the pattern.

My daughter bought a hairband wrapped in satin with satin and stone embellishments and that got me thinking. If we can wrap a hairband with cloth, we can definitely do it with crochet thread and embellish with 'n' number of crochet appliques. So, hear goes...

Materials Used
1) Plastic or metal plain hairband
2) Anchor Knitting Cotton is the thread I used for this project, but nylon purse thread works too. Any colour of your choice.
3) Needle for sewing the ends

Stitch Abbreviations
sc - Single Crochet

The embellishment that I have used here is from

I really like all her patterns. If you have problem following the pattern, comment below and I'll write it up.

Now we start the pattern.

  1. Make a slip know and insert it into the hairband.
  2. sc around till the entire band is convered. Like the pic below

3. Weave in the ends.

Now make any embellishment that you want and stitch to the hairband. Simple right????

If you like the pattern please share. Would really really love to hear your comments too.

Will meet you again with my next super simple pattern. Bye-Bye...
