Crochet Sling Bag
Made this crochet sling bang for a friend as an order. Tried to increase the rows in arithmetic progression. The work starts with the base though. :)
Materials
- Anchor Knitting Cotton, any 4 colors, colors A, B, C, D(used A and B together and C and D together).
- Crochet Hook 3.75
- Needle to weave in the ends.
- 1 big button for the flower.
sc - Single Crochet
dc - Double crochet
hdc - Half double crochet
ch - Chain
FDC - Foundation Double Crochet
sl st - slip stitch
tr - Treble Crochet
Pattern
BAG
1.With colors A & B together ch 25. dc in every ch, in the last chain dc 3 times. dc in the base ch on the other side, in the last ch, dc twice. sl st to join.
( sl st and join at the end of each row.)
2.dc in each dc around.
3.rows 3 - 6 dc in each dc around.
7.change to colors C and D, dc in each of the dc around
7.change to colors C and D, dc in each of the dc around
8.rows 8-10, dc around in each dc.
11. sc in each dc around.
12. change to color A and B. dc in every dc around.
13. rows 13 -14, dc in each dc around.
15. sc in each dc around.
16. change to color C and D, dc in each dc around.
17. dc in each dc around.
18. hdc in each dc around.
19. change color to A and B,dc in each dc around.
20. dc in each dc around.
21.change color to C and D, dc in each dc around.
22. sc in each dc around.
HANDLE
1.With colors A and B, FDC 150 or the length needed for the handle.
2. With colors C and D, hdc around,
Attach the handles to the bag and viola, there is your sling bag.
FLOWER(optional)
1. With all 4 colors, make a magic circle.
2. sc 5 times in the circle and pull it close the loop. sl st to join.(5)
3.2 sc in each sc. sl st to join.(10)
4.1 sc in the first sc and 2 sc in the next sc.sl st to join (15)
5. 1 sc in the next 2 sc and 2 sc in the next sc.sl st to join (20)
6. ch 1, * sc, hdc in sc. 1 dc and 1 tr in the next sc,1 tr and 1dc in the next sc, 1 hdc and 1 sc in the next sc*. The first petal is ready.
7. Repeat from * - * for 4 more petals.
8. Stitch the big button in the middle and attach th flower to the bag.
